This summer was crazy with fun events for the animals!

Whole Foods in Porter Ranch hosted the "Dog Days of Summer" where we raised money giving dog massages, Pam from Paw Prince Studios did portraits, and a raffle was held for the Pet Orphans of Southern CaliforniaSome lucky dogs found homes, which is the best part!!

The view from my booth at Hilton Hotel's Project Beach House   It was a wonderful afternoon on the ocean in Malibu when I gave dog massages to promote Hilton Hotels new pet-friendly policy in all their hotels.  The event was sponsored by Boost Mobile, and a good time was had by all (especially the dogs- they love the beach!  Who doesn't?).

Shug and I had a great time meeting lots of nice people and their dogs at Pawsapalooza that benefitted PAWS/LA.  Some really cute and entertaining animal-themed movies were shown that everyone enjoyed and lots of money was raised for a good cause.  We had a booth in the midway area where there were lots of great vendors showcasing their products and services for animals.

Scooby stole my heart, and was luckily adopted within a week of being seen at the Toluca Lake Farmers Market.

Some beautiful kitties from the E. Valley Shelter

Maria from the Toluca Lake Farmers Market wanted to have a special day for animals where people could come find their soulmate in one of the homeless animals from the East Valley Shelter.  I am happy to say all the dogs from the day ended up getting adopted, either there or soon after.  Hopefully some of the beautiful kitties there also got adopted eventually, but unfortunately none did that day, I'm sad to say.  But if even one life was saved, it would have been more than worth it!  Maria would like to have more of these special days at the Farmers Market, so that is awesome for the animals!
Buddha Dog at Cha Ching for Cha Cha at Safari Sams One of the most unique and fun events we were a part of was Cha Ching for Cha Cha at Safari Sams.  The newly formed charity, Paws for a Cause L.A., held the event to raise money for Actors and Others for Animals.  We were a vendor among the very unique vendors that night.  All the entertainers were awesome!  The Flarowitz Sisters hosted and kept everyone cracked up.  It was my lucky night when I won an extraordinary painting by the talented Lillian Lassen in their Chinese raffle.

Shug and I had such a wonderful time at our booth at S.O.P.H.I.E., Inc. ("Save Our Pets' History in Eternity")'s Los Angeles Pet Memorial Park 80th Anniversary Celebration.  Warren Eckstein broadcasted "The Pet Show" radio show from the park, there was a blessing of the animals, animal adoptions, a pet psychic and other great vendors, and lots of great raffle prizes.  I was so touched by the memorials left by people to honor their beloved furry family members.   Shug at the Buddha Dog booth at the beautiful L.A.
